"...You move me, Kurt." Blaine leaned in to kiss Kurt's soft lips.
BEEP BEEP!!!
Kurt heard his alarm clock sound.
He slapped the pillow over his head, realizing that kissing Blaine was only a dream.
He had left the New Directions, his friends, his brother, to be with a boy that he loved, but he didn't know if this boy felt the same way.

"Kurt! Honey! You don't want to be late!" Kurt heard his stepmom, Carole's, voice call at him from downstairs.
He swung his feet over the edge of the bed, allowing them to rest steadily on the floor before standing up.
Kurt was in no mood to go, but the simple thought of seeing Blaine Anderson's dopey smile and hearing his loud, adorable, laughter, made his mood brighten.

"Eat something." Carole said as Kurt walked through the kitchen without even the slightest glane towards her.
"I'm not hungry."
"Sweetie, you need to eat. I made your favorite." Kurt looked down at the table.
Pancakes. Really Carole, those are Finn's favorite, and I most certainly am not Finn. Kurt thought to himself.
"Is there something wrong?" Carole asked, noticing the look of longing on Kurt's face.
"N-nothing that you could help me with." Kurt replied bitterly.
"Well, why not let me give it a shot."
She's trying to make this work. She cares, she is the only one.

Carole gestured to the chair, realizing that Kurt had given in.
"Well, there is this guy," Kurt started, "he goes to Dalton."
"He's part of the reason you switched, isn't he?"
"He's a part, yes, but we all know that I wasn't safe at McKinley."
"I know, continue." Carole placed her hands under her chin.
"I like him...a lot."
"Oh no, he isn't gay?"
"No! No, I mean, yes, he's gay."
"So what's the problem?"
"I'm not sure if he likes me, we sing flirty duets, he knows my coffee order, we hang out, I really care about him. He said that he cares about me, but he never said anything after that and I don't know what to do, I don't know what to feel. " Kurt replied quickly.
"My." Carole sat silently for what seemed like an eternity.
Kurt looked at her attentively.
"I think that you should go for it, you are a wonderful boy Kurt. I'm sure he sees that too. If he doesn't, then maybe you two just, aren't meant to be."
"Carole, I think that I'm in love with him."
"You just went from liking, to caring, to loving this boy. How well do you really know him, Kurt?"
"He is...he is outgoing and kind and special. He can even sing."
"I see the appeal."
"What should I do?"
"Have him over for dinner tonight. I'll check him out. Believe it or not, I'm really good at this type of thing." Carole winked at Kurt.
"Now get in the car and go to school." Carole looked at the door.
"Bye Carole, and, thank you."

"Hey! Hey Blaine! Wait up!" Kurt called after the boy.
"What's up?" Blaine turned to face Kurt.
"Do you want to come over tonight...for dinner?"
"Like...with your family?"
"Yes, you can say no, I would completly understand."
"I would love to. I want to meet the people who raised you to be...well...you." Blaine fixed Kurt's collar. He went to walk to his locker but turned on his heel, "What time?"
"Seven?" Kurt replied, blushing.
"It's a date." Kurt watched Blaine's gelled head trot down the hall.

As soon as Kurt stepped in the door, Carole pulled him aside, "What happened? Is he coming?"
"Yes!" Kurt jumped slightly.
Carole smiled before turning to return to the kitchen.

Kurt ran up to his room, turning his phone on, desperatly checking his phone for a message from Blaine.
His ringtone, Teenage Dream went off, making him leap.

Blaine

Kurt stared at the screen before remembering to open the message.

Can't wait for tonight! :)

Blaine's addiction to smiley faces amused Kurt more than a new copy of Vogue.

Kurt quickly sent a message back.

Me neither!

Kurt sat holding his phone close to his chest, anticipating the next text.

We need to talk. After dinner?

Kurt felt his heart skip a beat. Images ran rampant through his mind.

Good or Bad?

He needed to know before jumping to any sudden conclusions.
'We need to talk,' what the heel does he mean by that? Is he mad at me? Or... Kurt asked himself before clearing the final thought as he heard his favorite song come from his phone's tiny speaker.

Depends on how you look at it. I'll c u at 7.

"That's it?" Kurt questioned aloud.

Kurt looked at the clock sitting on the night table.

5:30

Kurt couldn't get Blaine's text out of his mind. It was so vague.

"Kurt! Can you come down here for a minute? I need you to lend me a hand!" Carole hollered.

Kurt sulked down the stairs.
"What is it?" Kurt spat.
"Someone is grouchy. That was a fast mood change."
"Blaine texted me."
"He's still coming? I hate leftovers."
"He's coming, but he said, 'we need to talk,'"
"About what?"
"I DON'T KNOW!" Kurt snapped.
"Calm down. It's probably not a bad thing so ust take a deep breath."
"He was fine earlier today, but when he texted me, it was sudden and unexpected. I..."
"Do not worry about it. That's the last thing that you want to do in this type of situation. If you look nervous, it will turn him away."
Kurt looked at Carole, wondering what other wisdom was hidden within her.
"Hand me a spatula." Carole reached her hand out.

KNOCK!KNOCK!

Kurt shot up, preparing to run towards the door.
"No! Let me get it. You don't want to seem desperate."
Carole walked past Kurt, wiping crumbs on her pants.

Kurt could hear Carole's voice coming from the other room.
"You must be Blaine! It's nice to finally meet you! Come on in."
After a pause, he heard the voice that he spent countless nights dreaming about.
"Thanks for having me, I really appreciate it!"
Footsteps. With every smack against the wood floor, Kurt felt his heart pound faster and faster.

Blaine entered the kitchen without making eye contact. He kept his gaze on the floor.
"Hey Blaine." Kurt tried to spark conversation.
"Hey." Blaine looked up and nodded gently.
Well that just ended in a dead end. Kurt thought to himself.
"Dinner's almost ready, go take a seat in the dining room." Carole looked a Kurt, giving him a thumbs up.

Kurt stared at Blaine, realizing that whatever he wanted to talk to him about later was what was effecting him at the moment. He didn't want to say anything that he would later regret so he just kept his mouth shut.
"Finn and Burt are going to the Ohio game tonight so they won't be joining us."
Blaine looked at Carole and smiled, letting her know that he heard.
Carole scooped pasta on Blaine's plate and then Kurt's.
"So Blaine, what do you think of Dalton?" Carole scooted her chair in.
"It's a great school. The teachers are nice, the people are nice, I have nothing negative to say about it."
"Well that's good to hear."
Carole decided to let the boys eat before interrogating Blaine further.

"How are your paretns, honey?" Carole asked.
"They're well." Blaine responded sincerely.
"Hopefully they aren't angry that we're stealing you away from them."
"They don't mind."
"Kurt's told me a lot about you, I'm glad that I can finally put a face to the name."
"Hopefully he has only mentioned good things."
Only good things can describe you. Kurt kept in his mind.
"Of course." Kurt responded.
"Well, when you two are finished, feel free to do whatever you want, I'll be in the living room watching The History Channel if you need me.
"Thanks for dinner Carole, it was delicious." Blaine wiped his mouth with the napkin.
Kurt caught Carole's gaze and gave her a nervous smile.
Carole looked back at him then to the ceiling and smiled in return.

"Are you finished Blaine?"
Blaine stood up, grabbing his plate from the table.
"Oh, honey, just leave it, I'll clean up in a bit." Carole took the plate from the boy's hand.
"Are you sure?" Blaine asked.
"Absolutely, run along." Carole gestured for them to leave.
Blaine looked at Kurt and moved his head toward the stairs.
Kurt turned and walked up the stairs to his room, Blaine followed close behind.

Kurt sat on the edge of his bed and gazed up at Blaine.
"What was it you need to talk about?"
Blaine shifted uneasily.
"You know that you can tell me anything."
Blaine walked over to the bed and sat next to Kurt.
"We are friends, right."
"Of course!" Kurt laughed at the question, but Blaine remained serious.
"What if..." Blaine paused, looking deep into Kurt's eyes.
"What if...what Blaine?"
"What if I felt something, for...you."
"You hate me? I knew it? What did I do wrong? Whatever it was I'm-" Blaine cu him off.
"No. I don't hate you. I like you. Not just as a friend. I remember the first day that you came to Dalton, you were spying on the Warblers, before sectionals."
Kurt could barely believe what he was hearing, and was trying hard not to let himself blush.
"I saw you while we were singing Teenage Dream , and I knew right then that we were going to be friends. Then, when you told me about the bullies at McKinley, I waned so bad to tell you, 'you are perfect, Kurt, no matter what people tell you, you are perfect...to me.' But, I couldn't muster up the courage to let you know. I have regretted it everyday since. Then, at the Lima Bean, on Valentines Day, I wanted to see how you would react when I said I was in love with someone else, which I now realize, was completely stupid. You showed interest but I pretty much turned you down, which, I regret so much looking back on it now, because, Kurt, there is no one better than you, you are perfect, you are strong willed, and hot, and you can sing!"
Kurt didn't sy anything but instead sat staring at Blaine, awestruck by what happened.
"So...you don't hate me."
"Don't sound so disappointed." Blaine laughed, leaning in and kissing Kurt.
"You move me, Kurt."
Krut took a deep breath, remembering his dream. He waited to wake up.
"Why are you pinching yourself?"
"What?" Kurt looked down and noticed that he was pinching his arm.
"You..."
"I'm making sure this isn't a dream."
Blaine leaned back in, placing his hand on the nape of Kurt's neck.
"You're perfect." Blaine breathed.
Kurt smiled into the kiss.
I haven't posted anything in a while and perfect was released yesterday (the Glee version) so...inspiration.
